As the owner of luxurious Luxfords salon in leafy Kent, Lori is passionate about her business, her team and creative colour.

Having worked in the industry for years, she wanted to take her salon forward and regain control of her business.

Joining Slick in 2019, Lori now runs a highly successful business that has recently won Gold Awards in her region.

As a new business, the finances were critical. They needed to grow to pay the bills and ensure the salon was profitable as quickly as possible.

You used pen and paper for years, what prompted the change?

"I hated the admin side of it all and it meant I didn’t enjoy the hairdressing side of it.”

“Paper was what we knew and I kept telling myself it was easy but deep down I knew it was chaos. We always had mistakes with clients booked in at wrong times, we never had phone numbers to hand etc! It also became a lot of work for me - sending photos of the book to people on their day off, doing all the paperwork myself and working out wages!"

"Before clients could only book when the salon was open. Now they can book from Facebook at 9pm when they come home from work - it’s so easy”
